Play date!

On MLK day, my sweet friend Julie brought her two boys and their neighbor over to play with Evans. Her son, Cal, and their neighbor, David, are both former students and I just love them to pieces! Evans enjoyed being with them so much, and I think they had fun playing with toys they have not seen in a while!

First Birthday Party!

We had Evans' first birthday party at Gibson Pond Park. It was a chilly day so we were thankful for the fireplace and enjoyed spending time with our families.

Since we have an abundance of toys, we asked guests to bring a toy for Happy Wheels, an organization that we got to know of during Evans' time at the Children's Hospital. They deliver toys and books each week to the babies and children staying there.

Boo at the Zoo!

We had such a great time at Boo and the Zoo with Powers, James, and Adam. Evans was tired, so he was not overly impressed...but I think he enjoyed looking at all of the lights and kids in their costumes!

First trip to the zoo

We enjoyed the beautiful weather today and went with my friend Kelly and her little boy, Coleman, to Riverbanks Zoo. Evans slept through most of our visit but he did wake up for a little while towards the end! I hope the spring weather will come back soon so we can get out some more!

Evans visits The Creek!

I moved to a new school this year, RCE (we like to call it "The Creek"), and the building was not ready until this week so we were at our old school first semester. The new school is AMAZING and I am excited to go back to work in a brand new classroom! Today I took Evans to visit my class. He has already made a few trips to the Creek to help me unpack boxes! Here he is in his RCE spirit wear...one day he will be a Ranger!

Last shower!

My wonderful friends hosted my last shower! Powers, Jenny, Grace, Rachel, Anne-Ross, Andrea, Nancy, and Meredith were the hostesses. It was so much fun to see everyone and catch up!

Lexington Shower # 2

Tanya, Carolyn, Cathy, Christie, Emmy, Amy, Emily, Fran, & Molly hosted a fun shower in Lexington! We were excited to get lots more stuff for Evans!

Lexington Shower #1

Jessica, Sarah, and Julie hosted my first shower in Lexington for some girls in our Sunday school class and girls from our youth group at Saxe Gotha. They had the cutest decorations and some funny games, and we are even more stocked up with baby gear now!

Greenville Baby Shower

My mom's friends hosted my first baby shower in Greenville on August 21. We got lots of good stuff for Evans!
