My Gym

I started taking Evans to My Gym when he was eight weeks old, while I was still on maternity leave. It was a great outing for us, and I loved watching him grow as we went there and he could enjoy the equipment more. When I went back to work, my mom and Matt's mom took him and then I took him all summer. We met some great friends there, too! Last month, we were sad to learn they were closing. They are looking for a new building, so we hope they open again soon!

Play date!

On MLK day, my sweet friend Julie brought her two boys and their neighbor over to play with Evans. Her son, Cal, and their neighbor, David, are both former students and I just love them to pieces! Evans enjoyed being with them so much, and I think they had fun playing with toys they have not seen in a while!

Beach Weekend

We went to Folly Beach the first weekend in January, and it was 70 degrees outside! We had a great time with some of my best friends, and we were so glad to be able to enjoy the beach a little bit, too! Evans loved the beach last summer, but I think he is going to enjoy it even more this summer now that he is walking and running everywhere!

Christmas morning

Matt and I decided before we even had Evans that when we had children we would wake up to Santa at our own house. This is what my family always did, and I think it is really special and easier on everyone! After Evans played with his toys, the Herndons came over for breakfast and then we went to church with them. Then, we drove to Spartanburg for Christmas with my mom's family. After that, we went to my parents' house in Greenville for more present opening...such a busy day!
