Six months old

Evans, you are six months old today! I cannot BELIEVE you are halfway to a year. I would like to stop time just for a little while and keep you little! You are still the best baby, just so content all the time. You have become a mover this month! You love to scoot around the room on your back. You started doing this a while ago but do it all the time now! You also figured out how to roll over a couple of months ago, but then never did it again until this month and now you just roll and roll and roll! You have your two front bottom teeth, which makes for a very precious smile. We had to take your bumper pads out because you started playing too much in your crib before you fell asleep at night and we were afraid you were going to suffocate! You love taking baths and splashing in the water--I can't wait to see how you like the pool! You have liked every type of baby food you have tried--obviously you get that from your daddy! You can sit up, but you would rather be standing up holding someone's hands and bouncing. When you get in your exersaucer, it sounds like you are going to break it because you jump up and down so hard! You are the sweetest boy, and we thank God for you every day!

New look for the crib...

Evans has become VERY active recently. It is so much fun to watch him roll and scoot all over the place, but it was becoming a concern when we put him in his crib because he started rolling over and trying to "burrow" in the bumper pads! I took them out, but then I was worried about his arm or leg getting stuck in between the slats.

So, Matt's mom got us a Breathable Bumper and it is perfect for this stage.

I REALLY miss having his precious monogrammed bumper pad in there, though!

First Easter

So excited for the Easter bunny!

Look what E.B. brought!

Evans is wearing the outfit that my mom made for my younger brother on his first Easter!

First trip to Clemson

We took Evans to the Clemson baseball game the night before Easter.

Evans is wearing an outfit that Matt wore when he was a baby!

First ice cream

My dad started a tradition of ice cream on month birthdays when my niece and nephew were little, so he continued it on Evans' 5 month birthday.

(He only ate about half a spoonful total.)

I don't think he knew what to think of having cold stuff in his mouth!

Ice cream coma!

Evans' Baptism

Evans was baptized on Palm Sunday. My mom made his gown, and he looked so precious in it. We enjoyed having so many family members and friends share this special day with us, and we look forward to watching Evans grow up in the Presbyterian church.

My aunt brought water back from the Jordan River, so that made the day even more special.
